Overview We are seeking a talented and energetic Pastry Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating delicious and visually appealing baked goods and desserts that delight our guests. Your expertise in pastry arts will contribute to elevating our food offerings, ensuring high standards of food safety and presentation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a vibrant entertainment environment. Responsibilities Ensure consistent, high‑quality production of all food items. Keep all kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and sanitation standards. Complete daily walk‑throughs, production logs, and weekly production plans. Partner with Facilities to maintain kitchen equipment. Inspect all incoming product with Warehouse and Receiving teams. Maintain accurate recipes, spec books, photos, and system updates. Support Theme Park and Catering culinary operations as needed. Assist with menu development and new product innovation. Train, coach, and develop culinary team members. Manage cost of goods, waste reduction, and food repurposing efforts. Collaborate across departments and provide operational insights. Support the food waste‑management program and ensure proper transfers. Interact with guests to enhance their dining experience. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or culinary environments with a strong focus on desserts and baked goods Skilled in cake decorating techniques to create attractive designs for various occasions Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong customer service orientation to ensure guest satisfaction when interacting with team members or guests Experience with packaging baked items for retail or catering purposes is a plus Join us as a Pastry Sous Chef and bring your passion for baking to life in an inspiring environment where creativity meets entertainment!
