This is not an entry-level kitchen position. We are looking for a culinary professional who understands discipline, organization, urgency, consistency, and leadership at a high level. The ideal candidate possesses strong kitchen fundamentals, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to execute consistently under pressure while maintaining Michelin-inspired standards. The Sous Chef will work directly alongside ownership and kitchen leadership to ensure every product leaving the kitchen reflects the quality, craftsmanship, and reputation of the Haute Dawgz brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead kitchen operations during service Execute recipes and production standards with precision Maintain exceptional food quality and consistency Assist with menu development and seasonal features Train, mentor, and hold kitchen staff accountable Manage prep schedules and production timelines Monitor inventory levels and ordering needs Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are exceeded Maintain organization of walk-ins, dry storage, and production areas Control waste and maximize product utilization Assist with catering, special events, pop-ups, and off-site productions Maintain a positive, professional kitchen culture
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum 5 years professional kitchen experience Previous Sous Chef, Lead Cook, or Kitchen Management experience Strong knife skills and advanced culinary techniques Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Extensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures Ability to lead by example Strong communication and organizational skills Reliable transportation
Current Food Handler Certification Preferred:
Fine dining experience Scratch kitchen experience Catering or event production experience Experience with inventory management and ordering Experience training and developing staff
