Job Summary We are a design-forward, sustainability-driven concept rooted in Japanese coastal philosophy, built on precision, restraint, and an unwavering commitment to quality. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chefs to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in food service and a keen understanding of sushi preparation techniques. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for creating high-quality sushi dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen. Your creativity and attention to detail will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and present sushi dishes according to traditional recipes and modern interpretations. Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create innovative sushi offerings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and best practices. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while working in the kitchen environment. Skills Proficient in food preparation techniques, particularly in sushi making. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Experience working in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Ability to handle knives safely and effectively for meal preparation. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal service. Creativity in menu planning and dish presentation. Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members.
