Job responsibilities include:
Monitor the daily production of food, special events, and supervising all other dining services Team members involved with food preparation. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Adapt recipes for special dietary needs or preferences as required. Qualifications Five (5) years of supervisory experience in a restaurant or catering environment, with knowledge of meal preparation techniques. Technical or Vocational school or three (3) years apprenticeship required. Familiarity with fine dining standards and practices is preferred. Strong understanding of food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. Additional Ways PVE invests in
