  • Part-time, Full-time Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to delivering high-quality sushi dishes. This role is essential in maintaining our restaurant's reputation for excellence and creativity in meal preparation. The Sushi Chef will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and presentation. Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create seasonal menus that highlight fresh ingredients. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for ordering supplies. Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen environment. Provide exceptional service during catering events, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to perfection. Skills Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards. Familiarity with various types of sushi, ingredients, and traditional Japanese cooking methods. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting. Previous experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants is preferred but not required. A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in meal preparation techniques.
