Thomas Cuisine is looking for a motivated Executive Sous Chef to lead our culinary team. Our facility provides a welcoming space where staff, patients, and visitors can enjoy fresh, nutritious meals throughout the day. Our team is dedicated to offering a variety of healthy options, whether it is a hot, made-from-scratch meal, a refreshing salad, or convenient grab-and-go selections. We take pride in supporting the well-being of our community with wholesome, satisfying choices. Your role and impact As an Executive Sous Chef , you are the heart of our culinary team. You will lead the kitchen to create exceptional, fresh, scratch-made meals that exceed our guests' expectations. Your leadership ensures the kitchen runs smoothly, from managing food preparation to overseeing kitchen staff and maintaining the highest standards of taste, quality, and safety. Your culinary expertise and dedication to excellence will inspire your team, helping us fulfill our REAL Food Mission and make a meaningful impact on those we serve! What you will do Lead, manage, and inspire the culinary team to produce high-quality meals consistently. Oversee daily food preparation, ensuring all meals meet the highest standards of taste, quality, and nutritional value. Develop and innovate the menu to align with our mission of providing REAL food, ensuring variety and balance for our patients/staff/guests. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Collaborate with leadership to manage budgets, food costs, and inventory to ensure efficient operation and minimize waste. Engage with team members, fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment. Manage and train kitchen staff, ensuring continuous development and upholding high standards of service and culinary excellence. Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety. What you will need Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role in the culinary field. ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a passion for coaching and developing others. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining high culinary standards. Previous experience in food service management or culinary operations is required. Ability to manage food costs, inventory, and budgets. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
Must sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Requires frequent use of hands for cooking, preparing food, and performing kitchen tasks. Must lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally push carts (up to 30 lbs.) or wheelchairs (up to 325 lbs.). Regularly bends, stoops, and reaches above shoulder level. This Full-Time role includes:
Wage Range:
$80,000 annually + Potential 5% Performance Bonus.
