$60,000-$70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualificationsBenefits:
Health insurance and paid time off We are seeking a skilled and organized Catering Production Chef to lead food production and support the continued growth of our catering operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on culinary professional who values quality, efficiency, thoughtful sourcing, and strong team development. Sense of urgency, initiative, common sense and a positive attitude are must haves. As a Certified Green Business, we are committed to incorporating local, seasonal, and sustainable principles into our food and operational practices. Key Responsibilities- Lead food production for catering operations
- Maintain and develop recipes, preparation methods, and quality standards
- Create production and labor schedules based on event volume and operational needs
- Order food, supplies, and ingredients while supporting effective inventory management
- Monitor labor and ingredient costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
- Manage, train, and develop kitchen team members
- Organize kitchen workflow, storage, equipment, and prep areas
- Adhere to safe practices for kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
- Help develop and improve our drop-off catering program
- Collaborate with leadership to support menu development and operational improvements
- Promote the use of local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients and practices Goals for the Role
- Maintain and continually improve culinary standards and recipes
- Deliver consistent, high-quality food efficiently and at scale
- Strengthen labor and ingredient cost controls
- Build a reliable, organized, and well-trained production team
- Help launch and develop a successful drop-off catering program
- Integrate local, seasonal, and sustainable food principles into production and menu planning Ideal Candidate
- Professional kitchen or catering production experience 3+ years
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience managing, training, or supervising a culinary team
- Knowledge of food production systems, recipe standardization, and kitchen sanitation
- Ability to create schedules and coordinate multiple production priorities
- Understanding of food, labor, and inventory cost control
- Holds a current Food Service Safety managers certificate
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style
