To make prep and production smooth, we use specialized equipment including nigiri and roll rice machines . Job Description We are seeking a reliable and efficient Sushi Chef to join our kitchen team. Since we are a takeout-focused establishment, the role emphasizes speed, consistency, and clean execution over full-service table plating.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble sushi rolls, nigiri, and simple sushi menu items efficiently using rice machines. Slice fish and handle food prep according to health and safety standard operating procedures. Maintain clean and organized work stations in a high-volume takeout environment. Manage order tickets accurately to ensure timely pickup for delivery drivers and takeout customers.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Sushi Chef or Prep Cook (Pay is negotiable depending on experience level). Weekend availability is strictly required (Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays). Ability to work comfortably with kitchen automated tools/machines. Strong focus on food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced takeout environment.
