We are seeking a skilled and motivated culinary professional with strong Omakase experience to help lead our kitchen operations and deliver an elevated dining experience. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing premium sushi and seasonal Omakase courses, maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation, and supporting daily kitchen operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, fine dining environment and is committed to excellence, creativity, and hospitality. Responsibilities Prepare and present a variety of sushi, sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls, and seasonal Japanese dishes with exceptional attention to detail. Execute Omakase service, including fish fabrication, portioning, plating, and direct guest interaction when required. Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to restaurant standards. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing training on preparation techniques, food quality, and presentation standards. Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards throughout all kitchen areas. Manage inventory, monitor product quality, place orders, and minimize waste. Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team on menu development, seasonal offerings, and Omakase course planning. Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant's quality expectations and enhance the overall guest experience. Assist with scheduling, prep management, and shift leadership as needed. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, Sushi Sous Chef, or similar leadership role in a high-volume or fine dining Japanese restaurant. Strong Omakase experience is required. Candidates should be comfortable preparing and serving multi-course Omakase menus using seasonal and premium ingredients. Expert knife skills and extensive knowledge of fish butchery, seafood handling, and Japanese culinary techniques. Ability to maintain consistency and composure in a fast-paced service environment. Previous experience supervising kitchen staff and leading service operations. Strong understanding of food safety regulations, inventory management, and kitchen organization. Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Passion for hospitality, continuous learning, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
