As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing authentic and visually stunning sushi dishes that delight our guests. Your expertise in seafood handling, knife skills, and food presentation will ensure every plate meets the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a vibrant, fine dining environment where creativity and precision are celebrated. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with attention to detail and presentation Handle seafood and other ingredients safely, adhering to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Plan menus that balance traditional techniques with innovative flavors, catering to diverse customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and sanitized Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy periods Monitor inventory levels of seafood, rice, nori, and other essentials; assist with ordering supplies as needed Uphold high standards of food quality, taste, and visual appeal in every dish served Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine Strong knife skills for precise slicing of fish, vegetables, and other ingredients Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques Experience in menu planning and creating innovative sushi offerings Background in fine dining environments or upscale restaurants preferred Excellent food preparation skills with an eye for detail in plating and presentation Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards Familiarity with catering services and large-scale food service operations is a plus Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a dynamic kitchen team Join us as a Sushi Chef to craft exceptional culinary experiences that captivate our guests!
