Responsibilities Lead the sushi kitchen team by supervising food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistent quality and presentation standards. Develop and refine sushi menus, incorporating fresh ingredients, seasonal offerings, and innovative recipes aligned with culinary trends. Manage inventory control for all sushi ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper stock levels while minimizing waste. Oversee food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff. Train and mentor team members on sushi techniques, food handling procedures, and customer service excellence. Coordinate with restaurant management on shift scheduling, workflow optimization, and catering or banquet events involving sushi service. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency within the kitchen area to support smooth operations. Qualifications Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation in fine dining or high-volume settings. Proven supervising experience leading kitchen teams in a fast-paced environment. Strong background in food production, food safety practices, and inventory management within the food industry. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively. Experience in banquet service, catering, or large event settings is highly desirable. Knowledge of menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations related to food service management. Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
