Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the culinary team in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. Responsibilities Support the Team in managing kitchen operations, including shift management and ensuring smooth workflow. Lead food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining consistency and quality across all dishes served. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to foster a motivated and efficient team. Oversee inventory management and control, ensuring proper stock levels, minimizing waste, and maintaining accurate records. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations to uphold the highest hygiene practices. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and catering to dietary needs. Coordinate with the catering and banquet departments to deliver seamless service for special events and large functions. Skills Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining cuisine. Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment. Knowledge of dietary restrictions and experience working with dietary departments. Skilled in food production, food handling, and food safety protocols. Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent team management skills. Experience managing inventory control and food cost optimization. Strong background in restaurant management, including shift management and food service operations. Familiarity with catering services, menu planning, and kitchen management techniques. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality and serving guests.
