Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with attention to detail and presentation Develop and refine sushi recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work station in compliance with health and safety standards Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate service flow and optimize efficiency during busy hours Educate team members on sushi techniques, ingredients, and plating methods to foster continuous improvement Manage inventory of fresh fish, rice, seaweed, and other ingredients to minimize waste and ensure freshness Assist in creating seasonal menus or special offerings that highlight innovative sushi creations Skills Extensive culinary experience specializing in Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation Strong knowledge of seafood handling, knife skills, and traditional sushi techniques Ability to develop curriculum or training modules for new team members in sushi making Experience working with diverse groups including children, adults, or special education populations in culinary settings Proficiency in photography to capture visually appealing sushi presentations for promotional purposes Join us as a Sushi Chef and bring your passion for Japanese cuisine to life!
