This is not an entry-level position, nor is it a position for someone looking to simply work a station and collect a paycheck. We are looking for a leader. The successful candidate will be expected to lead shifts, enforce standards, coach team members, maintain accountability, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the restaurant. This position requires maturity, professionalism, urgency, attention to detail, and the ability to hold both yourself and others to a high standard. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy building strong teams, and take pride in operating an organized and disciplined kitchen, we encourage you to apply. Requirements Minimum of 2 years pizza experience required. Previous leadership experience in a professional kitchen strongly preferred. Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available for a full-time schedule. We cannot accommodate schedules that conflict with a second job. Must possess strong communication and leadership skills. Must be dependable and consistently punctual. Must be comfortable providing direction, coaching staff, and addressing performance issues. Must be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. California Food Handler Card required. Food Safety Manager Certification required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Core Responsibilities Work all stations and lead by example during service. Manage kitchen operations during assigned shifts. Ensure all recipes, procedures, and quality standards are executed consistently. Follow and enforce all Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor ticket times and maintain efficient kitchen flow. Conduct nightly inventory and communicate product shortages. Verify opening and closing procedures are completed correctly. Ensure all cleaning, sanitation, and food safety standards are met. Assist with ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory management. Train, coach, and develop kitchen employees. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment. Communicate operational concerns and opportunities to management. Maintain equipment and report maintenance issues promptly. Leadership Responsibilities Act as a leader, not simply a cook. Hold team members accountable to established standards. Address issues directly, professionally, and promptly. Support a culture of respect, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Coach employees toward success while maintaining expectations. Lead by example through work ethic, professionalism, and attitude. Uphold the culture, standards, and reputation of Pizza Supreme Being. Keyholder Responsibilities Open and close the restaurant independently when scheduled. Complete all opening and closing procedures accurately. Secure the building and property. Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned. Make operational decisions in the absence of ownership. Handle customer concerns and employee issues professionally. What We Value At Pizza Supreme Being, we value: Accountability Consistency Professionalism Humility Teamwork Attention to Detail Pride in Craft Respect for Coworkers Respect for
Systems and Standards This Position Is Not For You If:
You struggle with punctuality. You require constant supervision. You resist systems, procedures, or accountability. You prefer excuses over solutions. You avoid difficult conversations. You become defensive when receiving feedback. You contribute to gossip, negativity, or workplace drama. You are looking for a temporary job rather than an opportunity to grow professionally. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate notices problems before they become bigger problems. They take ownership. They understand that leadership means accountability. They do not wait to be told what needs to be done. They are comfortable giving direct feedback while maintaining respect for their team. They care about the quality of the food, the cleanliness of the kitchen, the development of their coworkers, and the overall success of the restaurant. Most importantly, they understand that standards matter and are willing to uphold them every day.
