Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with impeccable technique and presentation Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all kitchen areas Develop innovative sushi recipes and menu items to keep offerings fresh and exciting Manage ingredient inventory, ensure proper storage, and minimize waste through efficient stock control Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy hours Educate team members on sushi techniques and culinary best practices Uphold restaurant standards by consistently delivering quality dishes that meet customer expectations Skills Extensive experience in sushi preparation and Japanese culinary techniques Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures Ability to develop new recipes and enhance existing menu items through creative innovation Excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and artistic plating abilities Experience in classroom or team training, mentoring junior staff or apprentices Knowledge of ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and cost control strategies Familiarity with culinary arts beyond sushi, including general cooking skills and presentation aesthetics Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction Passion for continuous learning about culinary trends and techniques in Japanese cuisine Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us—where your expertise as a Sushi Chef will inspire memorable dining experiences!
