Chef

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Chef / Kitchen Lead to join Marinette Café & Bakery, a new bakery and brunch concept opening in San Francisco. This role is ideal for someone with experience in brunch, café, breakfast, or bakery-focused kitchens who can help manage daily kitchen operations in a clean, organized, and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing daily kitchen operations and prep
• Maintaining food quality and consistency
• Assisting with ordering and inventory control
• Supporting brunch and breakfast service
• Training and working alongside kitchen staff
• Following all food safety and cleanliness standards
• Helping create an efficient and positive kitchen culture Our menu is focused and not overly large.

It includes breakfast plates, omelets, sandwiches, salads, pastries, and bakery items. We are looking for someone who values teamwork, hospitality, speed, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of kitchen experience in a similar role
• Experience in brunch or café kitchens preferred
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Food safety knowledge required
• Positive attitude and reliability

Compensation:

$28-$35/hour depending on experience, plus tips. Full-time position. Weekend availability preferred.
