Job Description

Culinary Director / Working chef Goat Hill Pizza
  • We are an authentic (family-owned) San Francisco Legacy restaurant serving sourdough pies to our local community since 1975!
We are rebuilding the kitchen and customer service processes to expand the recently restored dining service. We are seeking a leader who can help us support, evaluate, and, if need be, retrain the existing kitchen staff. Someone who will help us develop communication between our two stores and their kitchen and customer service staff.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of cooking experience, with pizza & pasta experience preferred
  • We are looking for a creative chef who is passionate about quality ingredients
  • Ability to work with the General Manager, Customer Service, and Kitchen Manager to oversee our two locations.
  • Expected to schedule, supervise, train, and mentor current kitchen staff. Must be willing to work within the existing framework.
  • Proficient in computers and technology: Google Docs, Excel, and Microsoft products.
  • Good Driving record
  • Food Handler Manager & Beverage Service Certificate
  • Ability to lift 50lbs Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and service management.
Manage inventory control, including ordering and tracking supplies. Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment. Develop and implement menu items, focusing on quality and presentation. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining high standards of food quality. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate catering and banquet services.

  • Required to work nights, weekends, and holidays
