Sushi Chef Harumi Sushi - 4.1 Seaside, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $18 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Sushi Customer communication Japanese cuisine Patience Kitchen grills Time management Full Job Description Sushi Chef About the Role As a sushi chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking all sushi items on the menu, ensuring that the food is prepared to Harumi Sushi's standards and presented in a way that conveys the restaurant's image. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all dishes are made in a timely manner and that they are presented in a way that reflects the restaurant's image. You will work closely with the executive chef to ensure that all food orders are made to the highest quality standards and made to the best recipes available. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen equipment is maintained and properly maintained. Requirements 1+ years of experience as chef, or other culinary position preferred but not required Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards Must be able to communicate effectively with other employees and guests Able to work well under pressure and have good time management skills Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. We are a very busy restaurant with a high volume of orders. You must be available to work on Sundays.
