In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your expertise will help create a memorable dining experience for our guests, blending traditional techniques with innovative flair. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a lively environment that celebrates Japanese cuisine and culture. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with attention to detail and consistency Maintain the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene in all kitchen activities Develop new sushi recipes and refine existing menu items to keep offerings fresh and exciting Manage ingredient inventory, order supplies, and ensure freshness of all seafood and accompaniments Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate service flow and ensure timely delivery of dishes Educate junior staff on sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and presentation standards Uphold a positive kitchen environment by practicing effective teamwork, communication, and classroom management skills Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles Culinary experience with an emphasis on seafood handling and knife skills Ability to develop curriculum or training modules related to sushi preparation and culinary arts Excellent classroom management skills for training junior staff or conducting workshops Working with children or adult education experience is a plus for teaching sushi classes or demonstrations Passion for culinary arts, creativity in recipe development, and dedication to quality standards Join us to craft exceptional sushi while inspiring others through your culinary expertise!
