Compensation:
$5,000 - $7,000 / month (Based on experience) + Performance Bonuses About Next Robot Next Robot is building the next generation of kitchen automation infrastructure. Our flagship product, Robby One , is one of the most commercially deployed wok-cooking automation systems in North America. We are rapidly expanding across institutional and enterprise foodservice markets including K-12, healthcare, universities, contract foodservice, and large-scale catering operations. As a FoodTech automation company, Next Robot combines robotics, culinary innovation, and operational technology to help commercial kitchens improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Corporate Chef to support culinary innovation, recipe development, customer success, and product demonstrations for our foodservice automation systems. This role works closely with our Culinary Head, sales team, and customers to help develop scalable recipes, optimize robotic cooking workflows, and support real-world customer implementations. This is an excellent opportunity for a chef who is passionate about food innovation and interested in the future of kitchen automation and FoodTech. Key Responsibilities
Culinary R D:
Conduct recipe development and food application testing for robotic cooking systems.
Standardization:
Lead recipe standardization and scalable SOP development.
Workflow Optimization:
Collaborate with the Culinary Head on menu optimization and workflow improvements.
Customer Success:
Own customer onboarding, training, and pilot deployment support.
Live Demonstrations:
Conduct cooking demonstrations at customer sites, trade shows, and industry events.
Sales Enablement:
Partner with sales teams on customer presentations and solution-based selling.
Menu Adaptation:
Adapt traditional customer menus into automation-friendly workflows.
Feedback Loop:
Gather customer feedback and drive continuous product improvement. QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Experience:
minimum 1 year of professional culinary experience. Experience in high-volume kitchens, catering operations, institutional foodservice, restaurant groups, or FoodTech environments is highly preferred.
Mindset:
Strong interest in food innovation, automation, and kitchen technology.
Traits:
Exceptionally organized, hands-on, and energized by a fast-paced startup environment.
Communication:
Confident interacting with customers and conducting live cooking demonstrations; strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Languages:
Fluent in English. Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and operational workflow optimization.
- Direct interest or background in robotics, FoodTech, or culinary R D.
- Prior experience supporting customer-facing culinary or hospitality operations. Work Environment & Schedule Primarily standard corporate hours at our Walnut, CA facility, with flexibility required for evening or weekend travel, on-site customer deployments, and industry trade show events.
