Job Details James Beard Award-winning chef Sean Brock makes his West Coast debut with darling , a new restaurant in the heart of West Hollywood. The menu focuses on live-fire southern cooking centered on the vibrant, seasonal ingredients Southern California has to offer as well as heritage ingredients from the american south. The adjoining lounge houses a listening bar that offers a different kind of escape—vinyl records spun on a world-class hi-fi sound system, paired with thoughtful cocktails in an intimate setting. SOUS CHEF
About you: We're building a passionate, tight-knit team to help bring this exciting concept to life.
Ideal candidates have:
Experience & Passion Minimum of 1.5 years working in a chef-driven kitchen or hospitality setting Genuine passion for hospitality and the culinary arts Interest in being part of a small, dedicated team Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute meaningfully from day one Mindset & Values Respectful, team-oriented attitude aligned with our core values and principles Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and pride in your work Commitment to maintaining a positive, professional, and collaborative environment Skills & Knowledge Solid understanding of food safety standards and kitchen procedures Familiarity with foundational cooking techniques (for applicable roles) Clear and effective communication skills, both with team members and guests Cleanliness & Compliance High standards for cleanliness, organization, and overall kitchen hygiene Dedication to creating and maintaining a clean, healthy, and safe workspace Valid Food Handler's Card is strongly preferred Positions require: Full availability (5 days per week)
