Job Description

R Farmer's Market and Kitchen is a fast casual dining experience for Breakfast and Lunch. We have a bakery and offer fresh pastries and breads as well as cakes. A designated Pastry Chef is on site so this role will main involve the Kitchen menu and staff. We are also enter the catering space (mainly for pick up). Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our dining experience. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and menu development, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire creativity, foster teamwork, and drive excellence across all culinary functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the culinary vision of our establishment while maintaining efficient food service management and operational control. Duties Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment Develop innovative menus that align with brand standards and customer preferences, incorporating fine dining techniques and current culinary trends Oversee food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation meet established standards Manage inventory control and food management systems to minimize waste, optimize stock levels, and ensure cost-effective operations Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to maintain a safe working environment Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail in food preparation and service delivery Oversee shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet operational demands while maintaining high service standards Monitor kitchen operations for efficiency, including kitchen management practices such as inventory management and labor costs Lead training initiatives on food preparation techniques, dietary department requirements, and hospitality standards Maintain excellent communication with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless food service experiences Experience Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role within a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting Extensive background in a culinary setting with strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu planning Demonstrated supervisory experience managing diverse kitchen teams in fast-paced environments Knowledge of banquet experience, catering operations, and large-scale food production is highly desirable Familiarity with inventory management systems, food safety standards (such as HACCP), and dietary department requirements Strong leadership abilities complemented by excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Previous restaurant management experience that includes shift management, food service management, and hospitality excellence Join us as we craft memorable culinary experiences through innovative menus, exceptional leadership, and a commitment to quality.
