This role is ideal for a chef who loves food but also genuinely enjoys teaching, connecting with people, and creating a great guest experience. Schedule Requirements This is a 25-35 hour a week position with a variable weekly schedule based on our class and event calendar. Evening and weekend availability is required. About Food Lab Food Lab is a hands-on cooking school where the guest is the hero in the kitchen. We create interactive culinary experiences where guests learn new skills, cook together, and enjoy great food. Our Chef Instructors are at the center of that experience—teaching, guiding, keeping the kitchen running smoothly, and making sure every class feels welcoming, organized, and fun. What You'll Do Lead hands-on cooking classes for adults and kids Teach culinary techniques clearly and confidently Keep guests engaged while managing the pace and flow of each class Maintain Food Lab's recipes, class format, and standards Prepare ingredients and organize the kitchen for upcoming classes Manage class setup and breakdown Create a welcoming and professional experience for every guest Work closely with the culinary and operations teams Maintain high standards for kitchen organization, sanitation, and food safety What We're Looking For Required Strong culinary skills and professional kitchen experience Comfortable teaching and speaking in front of groups Warm, confident communication and strong hospitality instincts Availability for evenings and weekends Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a team ServSafe and TIPS certification, or willingness to complete both before starting Preferred Previous experience teaching cooking classes or culinary instruction Experience working with both adults and kids Leadership or kitchen management experience

$27.00 - $30.00 per hour
