Lead, Inspire, and Cook with Purpose - Vista Verde Ranch is seeking a skilled and confident Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen operations starting this winter in partnership with the Food & Beverage Director. This is a hands-on leadership role for a chef who values quality, consistency, and hospitality and who thrives in a collaborative, high-standard environment. About Vista Verde Ranch Vista Verde Ranch is an award-winning luxury guest ranch in the mountains of Colorado, offering refined yet approachable cuisine rooted in seasonality and sense of place. Our culinary program supports an all-inclusive guest experience and is central to how guests remember their stay. The Role The Chef de Cuisine is the senior culinary leader in the kitchen, responsible for daily execution, team leadership, and maintaining exceptional food standards across all services. This role balances operational excellence with mentorship and accountability. Key Responsibilities Lead all daily kitchen operations, including prep, service, and production Directly supervise, train, and develop kitchen staff Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation across all menus Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Director on menus, service flow, and standards Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Manage ordering, inventory, and food cost controls Set the tone for a professional, respectful, and high-performing kitchen culture What We're Looking For Prior experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Sous Chef, or comparable leadership role Strong foundation in scratch cooking and seasonal menus Proven ability to lead teams with clarity, fairness, and confidence Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
