Job Description
MileHighCook hires event chefs to cook private dinners in Mountain West homes, ranches, and vacation rentals. No restaurant hours, no lines, and no nights you didn't agree to. You take the events that fit your schedule and pass on the ones that do not.
What the work isPrivate dinners, small weddings, retreats, and corporate dinners, usually 6 to 30 guestsYou cook in the client's kitchen, plate, serve, and leave it cleaner than you found itThe menu is set with the client before the date, so you walk in knowing exactly what you are cookingGroceries are covered, either shopped ahead for you or reimbursedMost events run 5 to 8 hours door to door; most are evenings and weekendsPayMinimum $150 per event, flatYou keep 100 percent of the tipPaid within 5 Business DaysGroceries are the only reimbursed expenseWho we hire3 or more years in professional kitchens, or private chef experienceComfortable running an event solo or with one server, off-site, without a brigade behind youYour own knives and reliable transportation to client addressesFood handler card or ServSafe, or willing to get oneCalm and easy to talk to with guests standing in the kitchenHow to applyApply at milehighcook.net/apply with your resume and a few plating photosShort set of recorded video questionsLive video call with Steve, the ownerContractor agreement, then you are on the roster and start getting event offersThis is 1099 independent contractor work, booked event by event.
