EXECUTIVE SOUS
CHEFRocky Mountain Catering + Events | Englewood, CO | Full Time, ExemptReports to: Executive Chef of ProductionWe are hiring an Executive Sous Chef who leads with calm, cooks with precision, and keeps a busy catering kitchen moving with purpose. You are the Executive Chef's right hand and the person the kitchen looks to when the board is full and the clock is loud. If you love the energy of weddings, galas, and corporate events, and you bring order to chaos without losing the joy of the work, we want to meet you.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
  • Lead daily prep, production, and plating across a busy event calendar
  • Build and run prep systems that keep quality consistent at volume
  • Execute menus to spec and help develop new ones through tastings and client work
  • Manage food safety, sanitation, and quality standards every shift
  • Partner with the operations and event teams on timing, logistics, and onsite execution
  • Help with inventory, ordering, and cost control to protect food cost and reduce waste
  • Coach and develop line staff, and step in hands-on when the moment calls for it
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years of culinary experience in a catering, events, or fine dining setting
  • Hotel banquet or catering kitchen experience is the strongest fit for this role
  • An innovative mind that brings new ideas to the menu and the line
  • Real leadership presence under pressure
  • A great attitude and genuine hunger to learn and grow with us
  • A flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends during peak season
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to work onsite at events across Colorado
THE FINE
PRINTThis role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, extended periods on your feet, and loading and unloading event equipment as part of a true catering operation.

Compensation:
$72,000 to $77,000 annually, depending on experience, plus full benefits.
