Job Description
Temporary Contract Event Chef
- Vail, Colorado Seasoned is looking for talented chefs to join us for temporary event work in Vail and the surrounding mountain communities.
- You'll work alongside our culinary and event teams preparing and executing off-site catered events in Vail and surrounding mountain venues. Depending on the event and your experience, responsibilities may include:
- Prep and production
- On-site event cooking and finishing
- Plating and buffet execution
- Carving and chef-attended stations
- Working from detailed prep lists and event BEOs
- Maintaining food quality, consistency, sanitation, and organization
- Helping with kitchen setup and breakdown
- Supporting culinary teams during service Who We're Looking For
- You don't need to come from a Michelin-starred kitchen. You do need to know how to cook. We're looking for people who:
- Have professional restaurant, catering, banquet, resort, or private-chef experience
- Are comfortable working independently and as part of a fast-moving team
- Understand professional kitchen standards and food safety
- Can follow recipes, prep lists, plating directions, and timelines
- Are reliable, organized, and able to communicate clearly
- Can work efficiently without needing someone to tell them what to do every five minutes
- Take pride in sending out beautiful, properly cooked food
- Are willing to jump in wherever needed to make the event successful Catering experience is fantastic, but strong restaurant chefs can absolutely learn the event side.
