Sky Chefs is seeking a Sous Chef to support high-volume airline catering operations for major global carriers. In this role, you will assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen management, ensuring timely production of quality inflight meals that meet strict aviation and food safety standards. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, coordinating production with flight schedules, maintaining HACCP and safety compliance, and supporting inventory, ordering, and cost control. This on-site position requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. Responsibilities Assist Head Chef in planning and preparing high-volume airline catering menus Oversee daily kitchen operations to meet flight schedules and production targets Ensure food safety, hygiene, and compliance with aviation and HACCP standards Supervise, train, and schedule kitchen staff for efficient production Monitor quality control, portioning, and presentation of all meals Coordinate with operations and logistics to align production with flight needs Manage inventory, ordering, and proper storage of food and supplies Support cost control efforts and minimize waste while maintaining quality Respond to last-minute changes and special dietary requests from airline clients Maintain kitchen equipment cleanliness and support safety-first culture Required Skills High-volume culinary production Menu execution and batch cooking Food safety and sanitation (HACCP, Serv Safe) Staff supervision and scheduling Inventory and stock rotation Quality control and portioning Knife skills and basic cooking techniques Time management under tight deadlines Temperature control and food handling Coordination with logistics/operations teams
