- Part-time, Full-time Daisuki Ran is a new Pan-Asian restaurant opening in South Meriden, CT.
We are assembling a hospitality-driven opening team and are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and consistency. Our concept blends sushi, wok, and grill , and we are looking for someone who can execute at a high level while working within a collaborative, team-focused kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty rolls with consistency and precision Maintain high standards in fish handling, storage, and sanitation Break down fish and manage mise en place for sushi station Ensure quality, presentation, and portion control at all times Maintain a clean and organized sushi bar Collaborate with kitchen team within a Pan-Asian menu environment
Qualifications:
Experience as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook in a restaurant setting Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish butchery and sushi techniques Understanding of food safety and proper fish handling Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Attention to detail and consistency Team-oriented mindset
