In this energetic role, you will support the head chef in preparing delicious meals, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring a seamless kitchen operation. Responsibilities Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Support menu planning by helping to develop new meal ideas and specials Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures at all times Contribute to food service operations by setting up stations, serving dishes, and managing plating as needed Support catering events and special functions with timely meal preparation and presentation Experience Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings is preferred Knowledge of food handling safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices is essential Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and food service operations will be advantageous Skills in knife handling, culinary techniques, and food industry standards are important for success in this role Previous experience with catering or large-scale food service environments is a plus A background in culinary arts or related training can enhance your ability to excel as an
