Required Qualifications Experience:
2-3 years of pastry experience in a high-volume, fine-dining, or Michelin-rated establishment.
Technical Skill:
Strong foundational knowledge of Italian pastry techniques and scratch-made bread service.
Certification:
Valid FoodHandlers or ServSafe certification.
Availability:
Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Communication:
Proficiency in English (speaking, writing, and reading).
Mindset:
A natural sense of urgency, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for making others happy. Preferred Qualifications Previous leadership or "lead line cook" experience. Familiarity with systems like Toast, R365, or Culinary Agents. Bilingual/multilingual skills. Key Responsibilities Section Leadership:
Oversee the daily operations of the pastry station, ensuring it is fully prepped, organized, and meets the high standards of a one-star Michelin kitchen.
Execution:
Prepare and execute complex pastry recipes—including breads, desserts, and components for the cocktail program—to exact specifications.
Innovation:
Keep up with kitchen and culinary industry trends to contribute to our evolving dessert program.
Team Mentorship:
Guide and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they follow proper techniques, sanitation protocols, and "from-scratch" methods.
Waste Management:
Minimize waste through meticulous inventory rotation and whole-product utilization to manage food costs effectively.
Quality Control:
Ensure all pastry items meet our highest quality standards before they reach the guest.
