Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights! In this vital role, you will assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your expertise in fine dining, food safety, and team management will be instrumental in delivering memorable dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents while leading a dedicated team of food professionals. Duties Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and service standards. Supervise and mentor kitchen staff to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain impeccable hygiene standards across all kitchen areas. Support menu planning and recipe development to keep offerings innovative and aligned with culinary trends. Oversee shift management, including scheduling, training new staff, and maintaining smooth daily operations. Skills Proven experience, fine dining establishments, or restaurant management roles. Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities. Extensive culinary experience with a focus on food production, preparation, and presentation. Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and cost-effective food handling practices. Expertise in food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and dietary department requirements. Excellent kitchen management skills including shift coordination, kitchen experience, and food service management. Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
