Job DescriptionJob Description We are searching for the right candidate to fill our Executive Chef position coming soon at our new Shades Bar & Grill Mirimar Beach location. Summer training at Inlet Beach location. Compensation will be based on experience. Our culinary team creates delicious dishes from fresh ingredients in a very fast paced and high energy, scratch kitchen every day. Responsible for performing a variety of duties throughout the kitchen including but not limited to: Provide the highest quality of products and service to every guestMaintain excellence in food quality by following all recipe and product specificationsPlan and prepare a variety of scratch recipesSet up/break down equipment and stationsClean/sanitize kitchenOversee and lead team members to produce the best quality food
Prior high volume kitchen experience required.
Prior food preparation experience in a scratch kitchen preferredDemonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipesKnowledge of proper food safety and sanitation proceduresKnowledge of kitchen systems and processesAbility to demonstrate strong leadership skillsUnderstanding of food cost & orderingCan obtain any necessary food handling permits or licensesAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidaysAbility to multitask and effectively prioritize dutiesAbility to stand for long periods of time and bend, climb or work in confined spacesAbility to properly lift 25-50 lbsDemonstrate good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skillsWork well in a team environmentHave fun creating a great experience for the guests as well as for yourself and your team!
