Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of sushi and sashimi, ensuring that every dish meets our standards of excellence. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry Ensure all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and sushi bar area Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create new sushi offerings Monitor food inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests at the sushi bar Stay updated on industry trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices Experience in fine dining establishments is preferred Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation Background in dietary department or catering services is advantageous Familiarity with menu planning and serving techniques is beneficial If you are passionate about sushi making and have the skills required to excel in this role, we invite you to apply for the position of Sushi Chef.
