Job Description

Job Summary Florentin Bakery is seeking an experienced Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations and execute both hot and cold menu items with consistency and precision, while maintaining our kosher standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on kitchen professional with strong leadership skills, experience in fast-paced environments, and a solid foundation in Mediterranean cuisine. Baking knowledge is a plus, but the primary focus is full kitchen operations. Responsibilities Prepare, cook, and plate a variety of kitchen menu items according to established recipes and kosher guidelines. Lead daily kitchen prep and service, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times. Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations. Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering, and communicate supply needs. Train, support, and guide kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards. Work closely with management to improve kitchen workflow and menu execution. Assist with bakery production when needed, without it being the primary focus. Qualifications 3-4+ years of experience as a Chef or senior kitchen position in a high-volume environment. Strong knowledge of hot and cold line production. Ability to multitask and perform under pressure. Thorough understanding of food safety standards and kitchen best practices. Leadership mindset with strong communication skills. Experience with Mediterranean cuisine is preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus.

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
