As a Sushi Chef / Artist, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi with flair, showcasing your artistic skills while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi dishes with precision, artistry, and consistency, ensuring each piece is visually stunning and delicious Develop innovative sushi recipes and presentation techniques that delight guests and elevate the dining experience Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the sushi station, adhering to all food safety regulations Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service during busy hours Educate guests about different types of sushi, ingredients, and preparation methods to enhance their dining experience Manage inventory levels of seafood, rice, nori, and other ingredients, minimizing waste and ensuring freshness Participate in ongoing training sessions to refine culinary skills and stay updated on industry trends Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment Strong artistic skills with an eye for detail in food presentation and plating Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and ingredient handling best practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Culinary certifications or training in Japanese cuisine or professional cooking preferred Experience working with children or in educational settings is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for sharing culinary arts is essential Join us if you're eager to craft stunning sushi creations that captivate both the eyes and palate!
