Kitchen About the Position We are looking for a motivated Pastry Cook to join the pastry team at the iconic Gianni's at The Villa Casa Casuarina, former Versace Mansion. This role is ideal for someone with basic pastry knowledge who wants to grow in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen. Professional experience is preferred but not required as we provide full training. Responsibilities Assist in the daily production of pastries, desserts, sauces, creams, doughs, mousses, glazes, and chocolate elements. Follow recipes with accuracy and maintain consistency in preparation and flavor. Set up and maintain the pastry station for service. Assist with plating desserts during service following the Executive Pastry Chef's standards. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage according to food-safety guidelines (HACCP). Label, date, and rotate products correctly (FIFO). Support production for high-volume events, banquets, and special menus. Operate pastry equipment and tools safely (mixers, ovens, dehydrators, etc.). Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude Requirements Basic pastry or baking knowledge (school or hands-on experience preferred). Ability to follow instructions, learn quickly, and take feedback. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods. Availability for weekends and holidays.
