Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with accuracy, consistency, and artistic presentation in accordance with menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment such as rice cookers, knives, slicers, and other tools safely and efficiently Maintain strict food safety standards by adhering to sanitizing procedures and proper food handling practices Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation techniques Support high-volume food production during busy service times while maintaining quality and speed Follow recipe adherence to ensure uniformity across all sushi offerings Collaborate with team members to uphold a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Qualifications Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, especially fine dining or high-volume environments Strong knife skills and familiarity with sushi rolling, poaching, braising, grilling, and other cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling protocols Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Background in menu planning, meal preparation, catering experience or dietary department experience is a plus Excellent food industry knowledge with an emphasis on culinary skills such as food production and recipe adherence Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards Join us to bring your culinary talents to life in a lively environment where your skills make a difference!
