In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant's standards of excellence. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, combined with your leadership skills, will ensure smooth kitchen operations, exceptional food presentation, and outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi and sashimi with precision, artistry, and adherence to safety standards Supervise food preparation processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes Manage inventory control for sushi ingredients, including fresh fish, rice, seaweed, and other supplies Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on excellence in food service Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper handling of raw ingredients Assist in menu planning by developing innovative sushi offerings that align with customer preferences and current trends Coordinate shift management, including scheduling staff, monitoring productivity, and maintaining smooth kitchen operations Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or Japanese cuisine setting Demonstrated supervisory experience managing kitchen teams or culinary staff Extensive knowledge of food production techniques specific to sushi and sashimi preparation Experience with banquet service, catering, or large-scale food production is highly desirable Strong background in food safety standards and dietary restrictions management Familiarity with inventory management systems and food service management practices Prior restaurant management experience is advantageous for overseeing daily operations effectively Join us to craft exquisite sushi dishes while leading a talented team dedicated to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
