Job Description
Catering Chef - Job Description Position Summary The Catering Chef assists with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food for catering events. This role supports the kitchen team by ensuring food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and event timelines. The Catering Chef works under the direction of the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items for catered events according to recipes and company standards. Assist with food prep including chopping, portioning, marinating, and cooking. Help assemble and package food for off-site catering events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist with loading and unloading food and kitchen equipment for events when needed. Ensure proper food handling, storage, and labeling. Support the kitchen team during high-volume production for events. Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as stocking, cleaning, and organizing supplies. Qualifications Previous kitchen or catering experience preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices. Strong attention to detail and consistency. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as catering schedules require. Ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies or equipment when needed.
