Part-time Description:
Wolfden Brewing Company is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Sous Chef position. We are looking for team members who have at least 1 year kitchen experience in a fast paced kitchen and have a passion for food and craft beer.
Responsibilities:
Prep food items each shift before hours of operation Efficiently and accurately prepare all menu items as trained, making sure each dish is up to our standards, as well as the Illinois Food Safety standards Maintain a sanitized and organized kitchen at all times Follow FIFO (first in first out) procedures for all food items, labeling and dating every item Maintain a cleanly & professional appearance and positive attitude During table visits, answer questions and educated guests on Wolfden food and beer and upcoming food specials Staying updated on beer lists, hop profiles and food menu items At the end of each shift, make sure all food items are in stock and inform management if running low Make sure kitchen is fully cleaned before leaving shift Able to assist bartenders if needed Able to assist with brewery operations occasionally (bottling/ production of beer) Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
Experience:
1 year minimum prep/line experience in a fast-moving environment 1 year serving experience preferred
Requirements:
High school diploma/ GED BASSET certified preferred, will provide class if needed IL Food Handler Certificate Ability to work a flexible schedule: days, nights, holidays and weekends Must be 21
