Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sushi chef or related position.
Relevant skills:
Knowledge of sushi fish, fish butchery, cutting/knife skills, portioning, batch preparation Achieve and maintain proficiency in job functions of employees on the team, including but not limited to, follow the instructions on prepare food items and ingredients needed for menu items (including but not limited to sushi, maki, nigiri and sashimi) according to prescribed recipes and/or special requests. Ensure proper food storage, quality, and presentation standards, including temperature control Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders/restrictions Proficiency/comprehension in spoken English required. Bilingual English/Spanish or some Spanish speaking ability is a plus.
Benefits:
Paid time off, medical and dental insurance, employee discount Afternoon/evening availability (1 pm and on) from Wednesday to Monday (Closed on Tuesdays). We can be flexible with scheduling, but Friday & Saturday availability is required.
