Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to lead our kitchen in delivering authentic Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. The ideal candidate has strong culinary expertise, creativity, and leadership skills, with a deep understanding of traditional flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques from the Mediterranean region.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and present high-quality Greek and Mediterranean dishes in line with restaurant standards Develop and update menus featuring seasonal ingredients and traditional recipes Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all dishes Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating Manage inventory, food ordering, and supplier relationships Maintain food cost controls and minimize waste Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff Collaborate with management on specials, promotions, and events
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in Greek or Mediterranean cuisine Strong knowledge of Mediterranean ingredients, spices, and cooking techniques Leadership and team management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen best practices Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
Preferred Skills:
Experience with menu engineering and cost control Creativity in modernizing traditional dishes while maintaining authenticity Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Working Conditions:
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays Standing for extended periods and working in a high-temperature environment
Compensation:
