The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating innovative dishes that blend Indian and American culinary influences while honoring the authenticity of traditional Indian cuisine. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and operational expertise to deliver exceptional dining experiences and maintain the highest standards of food quality and service. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation, execution, and service Develop and refine a menu that showcases Indian-American fusion cuisine while maintaining a selection of traditional Indian favorites Create innovative seasonal offerings that balance creativity, authenticity, and guest appeal Oversee all food production processes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and quality across all menu items Manage inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships while controlling food costs and minimizing waste Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Coordinate staff scheduling, training, and daily kitchen operations Establish and maintain standardized recipes, preparation methods, and portion controls Monitor food handling, storage, and preparation procedures to ensure operational excellence Manage kitchen operations during high-volume service periods, special events, and catering functions Collaborate with ownership and management to enhance guest satisfaction, optimize service flow, and support business growth Mentor and develop culinary team members while fostering a positive and professional kitchen culture Qualifications Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or similar leadership role in a restaurant, hospitality, or catering environment Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, including traditional cooking techniques, spices, and regional dishes Experience creating and executing fusion concepts, particularly blending Indian and American flavors, is highly preferred Demonstrated leadership and team management skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and kitchen best practices Experience with menu development, recipe costing, inventory management, and food cost control Strong understanding of restaurant operations, kitchen workflow, and service coordination Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and quality Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
