In this vital role, you will assist the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your expertise in fine dining, food production, and team supervision will be instrumental in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while leading a talented team in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to foster a cohesive team dedicated to excellence. Ensure strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards across all culinary activities. Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize waste. Coordinate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and ensure menu compliance. Oversee catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely and high-quality food delivery. Support menu planning and development efforts to keep offerings innovative and aligned with guest preferences. Qualifications Proven experience in fine dining environments with strong culinary skills and a passion for excellence. Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting. Extensive knowledge of food production, food safety protocols, and kitchen management practices. Experience with banquet service, catering, and large-scale event coordination is highly desirable. Familiarity with inventory management, food handling, and cost control techniques. Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff members effectively. Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
