Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry. Maintain the standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all food preparation areas. Source fresh ingredients and manage inventory to ensure quality and availability of supplies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service. Develop new sushi recipes and presentation ideas to keep menus innovative and exciting. Adhere to all health regulations and company policies to uphold a safe working environment. Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar role in a fast-paced culinary setting. Extensive knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi techniques, and ingredient sourcing. Strong skills in knife handling, fish filleting, and rice preparation. Experience working with fresh seafood and understanding of food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with culinary arts including plating, presentation, and creative styling. Prior experience in teaching or mentoring junior kitchen staff is a plus.
