Cuvée Bistro at The Chatham Inn is evolving into a relaxed, approachable coastal bistro with Mediterranean and French influences. We are moving away from a traditional fine-dining model toward something more vibrant, welcoming, and community-driven — while maintaining the polish and standards expected of a Relais & Châteaux and Forbes-recognized property. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Restaurant General Manager to lead our operations in Chatham, United States. As the Restaurant GM, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, managing a diverse team, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences while maintaining profitability and operational excellence. This is a leadership position that requires a professional, decisive, and motivational approach to drive success in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery Recruit, hire, train, and develop restaurant staff, fostering a positive team culture and maintaining high performance standards Manage P&L responsibilities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and revenue optimization Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, health codes, and company standards Implement and monitor inventory management and supply chain processes to minimize waste and control costs Develop and execute marketing strategies and promotional initiatives to drive customer traffic and brand awareness Create and manage staff schedules to optimize labor costs while maintaining service quality Address customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring resolution and customer satisfaction Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members Analyze sales data and operational metrics to identify trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with all company policies, local regulations, and industry best practices Collaborate with corporate leadership on strategic planning and operational goals Minimum 5 years of restaurant operations management experience Proven track record of successfully managing P&L and controlling operational costs Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and health code compliance Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) systems and restaurant management software Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and motivate diverse teams Excellent customer service skills with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze operational metrics and sales data Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
