# Lead Sushi Chef ### Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable
  • Lead Sushi Chef
  • to lead our sushi kitchen and maintain the highest standards of food quality, preparation, presentation, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is a skilled sushi professional with strong leadership abilities who can work effectively with the entire restaurant team. ### Key Responsibilities
  • Leadship
  • Maintain consistent quality, taste, presentation, and portion standards.
  • Prepare a wide variety of traditional and modern Japanese sushi and sashimi.
  • Train, guide, and support other sushi kitchen staff.
  • Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, cleanliness, and organization.
  • Manage daily sushi preparation and ensure the kitchen is fully prepared for service.
  • Monitor inventory and communicate ingredient and supply needs to management.
  • Take responsibility for the performance and organization of the sushi station.
  • Work closely and respectfully with servers, kitchen staff, management, and other team members.
  • Maintain a focused and professional attitude during busy service periods.
  • Hold yourself and the team accountable for following restaurant standards and procedures. ### Qualifications & Skills
  • 8+ years of professional Japanese sushi experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of sushi and sashimi preparation.
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of fish preparation.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese sushi techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dependable, responsible, and accountable.
  • Highly focused and organized, especially during busy service.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistency.
  • Ability to lead by example and maintain high standards for yourself and others. ### Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is
