Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Executive Chef South Portland, ME | $90,000-$95,000 We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead all culinary operations for a high-volume, full-service restaurant. This is a key leadership role offering significant culinary autonomy, creative freedom, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the operation. Responsibilities Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, consistency, and execution. Lead, mentor, and develop the culinary team, including a Chef de Cuisine and 2-3 Sous Chefs. Collaborate with senior leadership on menu development and culinary strategy. Create rotating two-week specials with full creative control to drive sales and test future menu items. Manage food and labor costs, inventory, purchasing, and kitchen efficiency. Maintain high standards for food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and organization. Recruit, train, schedule, and develop culinary staff. Partner with the General Manager and front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless operations. Qualifications Proven Executive Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or senior culinary leadership experience. Strong team-building and kitchen management skills. Experience managing food and labor costs. Creative approach to menu development and specials. Strong understanding of high-volume restaurant operations. Hands-on leadership style with a passion for quality and hospitality.
