Part-Time (Thursday evenings) / Seasonal (with potential to grow) About NanBop Farm NanBop Farm is a unique Northern Michigan destination where food, community, and storytelling come together. We host curated events, partner with local chefs and creators, and celebrate the region's incredible ingredients in a one-of-a-kind farm setting. Our wood-fired pizza experience is at the heart of what we do—simple, high-quality food made with intention and served in a beautiful outdoor environment. Position Overview We're looking for a passionate, reliable Wood-Fired Pizza Chef to lead and execute our pizza program during events and select service days. This role is perfect for someone who: Loves working with fire and fresh ingredients Thrives in a fast-paced, outdoor environment Takes pride in creating a memorable food experience Responsibilities Prepare and cook pizzas (plus other select food) in a wood-fired oven (Gozney Dome XL) Stretch dough, build pizzas, and manage timing during service Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portioning Manage prep (dough, sauces, toppings, ingredient setup) Monitor oven temperature and fire management Maintain a clean, organized cooking station Work collaboratively with event staff and leadership Contribute ideas for seasonal or specialty pizzas Qualifications Experience in pizza, line cook, or wood-fired cooking preferred (but not required) Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak service Strong attention to detail and food quality Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Team-oriented with a positive attitude Flexible availability (Thursday evenings, weekends, events) What Makes This Role Unique Work in a beautiful farm setting in Northern Michigan Be part of curated, high-energy events and experiences Opportunity to collaborate with local chefs and creatives Creative input on menu and food concepts A role that blends food, hospitality, and community Compensation Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Potential for tips / event-based bonuses Opportunity for expanded role as the program grows Final Note This isn't just a cooking job—it's a chance to be part of something special.
